‘Chips for Charity’ success

Breast Friends Foundation of Osborne and Mitchell County were the recipients of $320 during the Chamber Banquet “Chips for Charity” event held on Saturday. Kasey Franks was the winner of the most chips during the gaming night and chose the charity to receive the donation. A total of 160 tickets were sold at the $30 early bird purchase and $40 after due date sale. From each ticket sale, $2 was put aside for the charity pot. Each person entering received a large amount in fake chips to play during the event. A social hour was held and comedian Michael Joiner entertained the crowd. “The Chamber Banquet is an annual celebration of our members and all their support of the chamber and community from the past year,” said Chamber Director Julia Rabe. “I am so thankful for the positive energy and encouragement of our members for new events and ideas. Millapalooza and “Jingle All the Way” were both well received and successful because of their involvement. The future is bright in the Beloit Area.”
