BHS to present Shrek the musical
BELOIT – The Beloit High School will be presenting their production of Shrek the Musical at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 8 and Saturday, Nov.
10. They will perform a third time at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 11, all at the Beloit High School Commons area.
Tickets can be purchased at the door. Adults tickets are $6, student tickets $5, and children 4 and under are free.
This musical is based on the DreamWorks Animation Motion Picture and the book by William
Steig. It includes book and lyrics by David Lindsay-Abaire and music by Jeanine Tesori.
Beloit senior, Tyler Long, and junior, Abby Vetter, star in this musical. It will also feature Tristen Brummer, Chance Kopsa, Alexis Arasmith, Breezy Schroeder, Randi Robinson, and
Co-director Meredith Clark says, “This production has taken an entire army to put together and Miss Deal and I couldn’t be happier with the results. CJ Tobald has been working with a crew of students to construct the set, Kristi Vetter has been leading a team of students to provide orchestration for this production and we have a handful of different community members each night helping us put this show together. Its truly been a team effort and I am looking forward to seeing these kids shine on stage.”
