The bridge located on U.S. 24 near Asherville in Mitchell County has now been taken out by the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT). Traffic speed has been reduced throughout the construction and a temporary roadway (shoo-fly) is in place. The scheduled project is set for completion in December of 2019.
