KSHSAA Fall activities permitted to begin as scheduled
TOPEKA – By action of the KSHSAA Executive Board on Tuesday, all fall activities will begin as scheduled for the 2020-21 school year. This includes practice and competition.
Local school districts retain the right to modify the start dates for practice or competition based on their local and county health recommendations.
The KSHSAA considerations for fall activities released on July 22 are still in effect. Those considerations have been posted on their site and include some of the safety measures such as below:
1. Universal Guidelines/Personal Hygiene
2. Education and Communication – Establish a communication network with your county health department or local public health authority.
3. Screening and Exposure Protocol
4. Illness Protocol
5. Activity Considerations
6. Facility and Equipment Management

The KSHSAA continually evaluates the statewide COVID-19 case metrics, CDC and KDHE guidelines, and will make adjustments to these considerations detailed above if indicated.
