MCHHS opens new senior program
BELOIT – Mitchell County Hospital Health Systems (MCHHS) opened the doors to our new Senior Life Enrichment Outpatient Program recently in Beloit. This new program is located in their newly remodeled building, located at 421 W. 9th Street, just west of the hospital and north of the Perdue House.
The Senior Life Enrichment Unit provides direction and support for an improved quality and outlook in everyday life for adults 65 and older. Senior Life Enrichment is an intensive outpatient counseling program that provides services, including a psychiatric evaluation, group therapy, individual therapy, family therapy, medication education and management, resource development, and discharge planning.
Programs are available for individuals or a loved one that suffers from any of the following:
• Low Self-Confidence
• Feelings of sadness, depression, or grief lasting more than two weeks
• Difficulty sleeping
• Loss of interest in previously enjoyed activities
• Changes in appetite
• A recent traumatic event
• Loss of energy
• Feelings of worthlessness, loneliness, or hopelessness
Referrals can be made by one’s self, a primary care physician, family members, or other healthcare professionals and the program offers a free, confidential consultation.
