City Attorney Katie Schroeder wanted to publicly affirm the tremendous job done by Beloit Police Chief, Dave Elam, during Wednesday's Beloit City Council meeting, in the recent missing person case. Schroeder reported Elam put in many hours above his normal schedule to perform the best and most complete search possible.
BELOIT – THE Beloit High School FFA students received results in regards to their 2020 National FFA competitors recently honoring Madilyn Shaffer and Addison Emmot as two national finalists this year. They will compete in the Agriscience fair-Animal Systems, Division four.
WEBBER – Local and area participants were named as winners in the entered 3-D Archery Shoot on Sunday, Sept. 13 at Lovewell State Park.Winning the Youth Division was Nelson Underwood of Esbon (right); Jessica Strait of Beloit was the winner of the Women’s Division Plaque (middle) and Randy Stroede of Beloit was the top winner in the Men’s Division (left), with John Druba of Superior, Neb. and Brian Shulda of Mankato, tied for Second Place. Jimmy Sims of Dakin, Neb. was the top shooter in the Steel Deer Competition, with a successful 56 yard shot. Donations from those registering for the competitions are used each year to update the 3-D targets at the Lovewell State Park.
