Benedick named Community Development Director

BELOIT – The Beloit City Manager Jason Rabe, announced recently that Emily Benedick will serve as the next Community Development Director for the Mitchell County area, taking over Heather Hartman’ s position after the announcement of her resignation. The interview team of Curt Frasier, Tom Claussen, and Jason Rabe had a strong pool of applicants to choose from which speaks to the quality of the position within the communities.

2021 FSA county committee elections underway

WASHINGTON D.C. — The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) will begin mailing ballots this week for the Farm Service Agency (FSA) county and urban county committee elections to all eligible agricultural producers and private landowners across the country. Elections are occurring in certain Local Administrative Areas (LAA) for these committee members who make important decisions about how federal farm programs are administered locally. To be counted, producers and landowners must return ballots to their local FSA county office or be postmarked by Dec. 6, 2021.
