County approves uncollectible debt write-offs

Mitchell County Health Department Administrator, Cortney Murrow, had several items to bring before the commissioners during the Tuesday morning meeting. Murrow said she had three years of uncollectable debts for services rendered by her department. She has exhausted all means short of a collection agency to get these debts paid. The three year total covers fifteen accounts and amounts to $1.156.82. The commissioners gave their approval to write off these uncollectible debts.

New visitation restrictions at MCHHS

BELOIT –With the recent increase in numbers in Mitchell County, the Mitchell County Hospital Health Systems (MCHHS) will be restricting all visitors to help contain the spread of the virus into their facility. This visitation restriction will begin today (Wednesday), until further notice. MCHHS encourages family members to utilize FaceTime, Skype, Zoom or phone to connect with their loved ones during this time.
