Various sizes of hail including ping pong to baseball sized were reported around the Asherville area Tuesday night as a thunderstorm quickly appeared around 9 p.m. Over an inch of rain was also received while others remained dry with not even a trace. Another heat advisory is issued for today with values as high as 106 degrees. A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms is forecast for Thursday and return into Friday at 40 percent and through Monday at 20 percent.
