Cheney demonstrates healthy 4-H goodies

BELOIT – “You want it to be good for you but also taste good,” Reagan Cheney, West Beloit 4-H Club, makes her muffins just that way. “If you would offer someone the muffins Reagan showed us how to bake they wouldn’t automatically think, oh, these are healthy. They would just think this is a good muffin,” said Ashley Svaty, Nutrition, Food Safety and Health Agent. "We love how Reagan chooses healthy recipes for her 4-H Foods and Nutrition county fair projects.

Mitchell County Fair begins July 22 – 4-H begins July 19 projects

BELOIT – The Mitchell County Fair will begin with various dates for the 4-Her's events from Monday, July 19 to Saturday, July 24 in Beloit with Thursday, July 22 fair events beginning on the fairgrounds with a 6 p.m. start of Bounce Houses and Laser Tag and a Circus Show at 7 p.m. A Beer Garden will also be provided at 6 p.m.

Howell request last resolution signing

Art Howell made one last appearance during the Mitchell County Commissioners meeting on Tuesday, requesting that they sign a resolution calling for a convention of the states to amend the Constitution as provided for by Article Five of the Constitution. Howell had been present at two previous meetings requesting such action by the Commissioners.
