BELOIT — Avery Johnson, a senior at Beloit Jr-Sr High School, is one of two high school seniors in North Central Kansas to be recognized with the John R. Cyr Rural Voices Award for submitting a top entry in the 2020-2021 Rural Voices Youth Contest.
BELOIT — Mitchell County Regional Medical Foundation’s (MCRMF) annual "Supporting Hometown Healthcare Campaign" has launched and had increasing support with new and frequent donors in 2021. Even though the past year has brought new levels of stress and financial insecurity, MCRMF appreciates the community support to prioritize and sustain the rural healthcare system.

Kelsey Adams was the lone applicant to fill the vacant unexpired term for position number three on the board during Monday's USD #273 Board of Education meeting. After a short question and answer session she was sworn in by Board Clerk Tiffany Schroeder and seated on the board giving it a full complement of seven members.
Dale Housh, Superintendent of Public Works, and three members of the Road and Bridge Crew, Dale Lewis, Gene Torkelson, and Marty Hernandez, were on hand during Monday's Mitchell County Commissioners meeting, to present tentative plans for a new 150’ x 100’ county shop building for the commissioners approval.
