BELOIT – Dave MacPherson, age 85 and resident of Beloit, KS., passed away gently in his wife's arms and into the arms of Jesus on Nov. 7, 2018 in Naperville, ILL.. He and his wife were in the Chicago area at the time to attend his brother's (Bruce MacPherson's) funeral in Wheaton, ILL.
Dave was born on Dec. 26,1932 in Ithaca, NY. His sister Alice and his brother Bruce, along with their mother, began life in New York, where their father was a pastor in Otego, NY. Later, the family moved to Long Beach, Calif. where his father continued his ministry. The family would take off for the summer to enjoy swimming, walking and canoeing,along with attending summer Christian family camps. Dave enjoyed traveling and chasing tornadoes, but his greatest love was to study God's Word. He had memorized many portions of the Bible through his repeated readings. Dave was an author of many books which were produced after years of research. He even researched in Scotland and England. Dave's grandfather, father and his brother, Bruce authored books as well.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents, Norman MacPherson and Florence Fairbanks MacPherson; his stepmother, Annette Brandt MacPherson and his brother, Bruce MacPherson, who all believed absent from the body and in the presence of the Lord.
Dave is survived by his wife of almost 50 years of marriage, Wanda Rader MacPherson, a sister Alice Benson and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.
A memorial was held with the family the next day after his brother's funeral with many family members attending.
