Beloit ladies add on three wins

BELOIT – The Beloit Ladies are now 19-10 overall on the season and will finish their regular season game in Belleville against Republic County on Tuesday. Sub-State action will begin on Oct. 24.

Beloit added two wins on Oct. 8 over Hoisington and Hesston.

Against Hoisington Beloit defeated their opponents in two sets of 25-23 and 25-17.

Mylie Brown led the team from behind the line scoring 9 points with 2 ace serves; Kim Nichols 5 points; Makenzie Travis and Porsche Cooper 3 points each; Trinity McMillan 2 points, 1 ace; Reagan Eilert 1 point.

Leading the team at the net was Halle Budke with 13 kills, 4 stuffs, 2 blocks; Cooper 6 kills, 1 block; Brown 5 kills; Travis 4 kills, 1 block, 1 stuff; Maddi File 3 kills, 1 stuff; Nichols 2 blocks.

McMillan led on the floor with 20 digs, 18 serve receives; Brown 11 digs, 5 receives; Eilert 8 digs, 2 receives; Travis 5 digs, 3 receives; Nichols 3 digs, 3 receives; Cooper 1 dig.

Travis set up the plays with 16 assists; Nichols 9.

Beloit defeated Hesston in three sets of 25-14; 23-25 and 25-20.

Eilert led on scoring with 13 points, 4 ace serves; Nichols and McMillan 6 points each; Travis and Brown 4 points apiece; Cooper 3 points, 1 ace serve.

Budke led the team at the net with 16 kills, 3 blocks, 3 stuffs; Travis 11 kills, 2 blocks; Brown 8 kills, 1 block, 1 stuff; Cooper 6 kills, 5 blocks; File 3 kills, 2 blocks, 1 stuff.

Beloit played 1-1 on Oct. 13 with a win over Ell-Saline and a loss to Sacred Heart.

Beloit defeated Ell-Saline in two sets of 25-16 and 25-17.
