Jr. Lady Javs undefeated at 3-0

OSBORNE - The St. John’s/Tipton Middle school varsity Lady Jays are now undefeated at 3-0 after their win over Osborne.

The Lady Jays varsity defeated the Lady Bulldogs in two sets of 27-25 and 26-24.

“It was an exciting night of volleyball,” said Coach Stacey Perez. “We overcame an 0-8 start in the second set and fought our way through it, coming back from trailing 19-24. We got the serve back and ended up winning 26-24. The Lady Jays learned to never give up even when it seemed impossible. I am extremely proud of them.”

St. John’s/Tipton junior varsity were defeated by Osborne in two sets of 20-25 and 15-25.

Brooke Anderson 7 points, 1 ace, 1 kill; Carlie Brummer 6 points, 1 kill, 1 assist; Jenna Gengler 6 points, 1 ace; Aubrey Gengler 3 points, 1 ace, 2 assists; Hayle Cockroft 1 point, 1 ace, 1 kill; Erin Schmitt 1 point; Sophia Thompson 1 point.

The Lady Jays C-team fell to Osborne in 20 mins of play time, 29-53.

The Jr. Jays will now face Thunder Ridge on the road on Thursday.
