Jr. Trojans remain 3-0 with Knights Win
BELOIT - The Beloit junior high Trojan varsity football team were host to Sacred Heart on Thursday and won big, 54-6, to extend their season, undefeated at 3-0.
Beloit will now travel to compete against the Russell Broncos on Thursday, Sept. 20.
Wyatt Broeckelman opened the first quarter play, scoring on a 28 yard run at the 4:43 mark. He punched in the extra point conversion for the 8-0 Trojan lead.
Benson Berndt scored on a 25 yard run at the 3:08 mark and Broekelman scored the PAT for the 16-0 lead. With just two seconds remaining in the quarter, Berndt scored his second touchdown on a 33 yard run. Broeckelman made good on the extra point conversion and Beloit led, 24-0 going into the second quarter.
Berndt scored in his third touchdown on a 31 yard run at the 5:07 mark and punched in the PAT for his 20 points scored in the first half. With 1:26 remaining, Broeckelman scored his second touchdown on a 7 yard run. Kyan Offutt’s pass to Branson Hiserote was good. Sacred Heart scored on their only touchdown of the game with just four seconds remaining and the Trojans held a 40-6 lead going into the second half.
Berndt scored his fourth touchdown off a 65 yard kick return in the opening of the third quarter. He scored his fifth touchdown for 32 points in the game at the 6:14 mark. Jerek Rexroat added the two point conversion score and Beloit won over the Sacred Heart Knights, 54-6.

The B-team defeated Sacred Heart , 6-0.
Isaac Shafer was the lone scorer for Beloit on a 41 yard run at the 17:00 mark in the fifth quarter play.
