Trojans CC win Beloit Invitational championship
BELOIT – The Beloit Trojan Cross Country hosted their invitational meet at the Beloit Country Club Golf course. A total of 23 schools and 335 runners competed in the two Junior High and three High School races.
In the Girls Varsity race, the Trojans finished runner-up to Bennington. The Trojans were led by Hannah Burks who placed 2nd to the race champion, Jaycee Vath of Lincoln. Hayley Burks picked up the 8th place medal followed by Kylie Mihm who earned the 15th medal. Other runner’s for the varsity squad included: Samantha Zimmerman in 40th, Makenzie Ammons 43rd, Emma Easter 57th and Blaise Spangler in 60th.
The Beloit Trojan Boys picked up their first team championship of the season easily distancing themselves from runner-up Abilene. The Trojans were led by Jacob Porter in 5th place, Tristan Brummer 8th place medalist and Chance Kopsa taking 9th. Other runners for Beloit included Logan Brummer 21st, Bryce Mason 30th and Jacob Swisher 42nd.
JV results included: Amanda Noller 12th, Tristan Armstrong 13th, and Cameron Sadler 31st
The Beloit Junior High girls team finished runner up to team champion Great Bend. The girls were led by Abby Porter in 7th, and Jenna Balluch 8th place medalists. Riley Croisant finished 13th, Kerris Pilcher 44nd, Jayden Brooks 49th and Kayle Ester 58th.
In the Junior High boys race, Beloit had one medalist, Lance Lundine picking up the 7th place medal. Other participants included Mason Thompson 46th, Ryan Rinaldo 55th, and Michael Boyl 67th.
