Beloit CC runners qualify for State

NORTON - The Beloit Trojan cross-country team had a good showing Saturday as they competed at the Norton Regional Cross-Country meet, one of six held in the state. Runners were presented with unusually cold and breezy conditions for an opportunity to advance to the state meet held at Wamego next week. Schools competing included host Norton, Colby, Goodland, TMP, Marion, Hoisington, Phillipsburg, Minneapolis and Russell. The top two teams and top ten individuals in both the girls and boys race earned a spot to the state meet.

Marching/Pep band

St. John’s/Tipton Lady Jays advance to Sub-state

TESCOTT – The St. John's/Tipton Lady Jays made it out of pool play during the Northern Plains League tournament on Saturday after losing a close game to Sylvan/ Lucas and falling short to Lakeside. After a loss to Thunder Ridge the Lady Jays took the last three teams to three and will now advance to Sub-state on Saturday in Linn at 20-12. In tournament play, they ended the day with a 18- 12 record.
