Sunday afternoon the drawing for the Beloit High School Trap Shooting Team Raffle was held at the Mitchell County Trap and Skeet Range in Beloit. Coach Tom Deneke drew the names of the winners including: Steve Chandler winning the Can-Am Defender Side-by-side; Joe Brown the Beretta A 300 Ultima 12 Guage Shotgun; Janelle Deremus the John Deere Gun Safe and Travis Lattin the Special T Unguided Pheasant Hunting Trip for two. Coach Deneke said he was “very pleased” with participation in the raffle.

HUTCHINSON – Meeka Jordan traveled to Hutchinson Kansas Saturday, May 14, to compete in the Salt City Youth Track Meet. She earned a gold medal in the turbo javelin with a distance of 45 feet 9 inches and a bronze medal in the shot put with a distance of 14 feet 7.5 inches.

FT. SCOTT/LAWRENCE – The NCK Raptors travelled across the state to experience the technical trails at Gunn Park in Ft. Scott, Kan. on April 23-24. Saturday brought off and on rain on the way there, but once they all arrived the sun was shining for a beautiful pre-ride day of the well maintained trails of Gunn Park. There are many hidden gems in our great state and Ft. Scott embraces this beautiful scenery, just on the west edge of town. The rain fell in the night and left the trails extremely muddy. The Kansas League staff mapped out a one mile short course with the help of volunteers over the saturated and hilly terrain, which led to super fast laps.
