BELOIT – Beloit High School track teams were hosts to the Beloit Relays track and field meet on May 1, 2026.
Both the boys and girls Trojan track teams earned the overall team championships with several top place finishers. It was a perfect day with just the right temperatures and low to no wind. Beloit will host Regionals on Thursday, May 21.
On the boys side, the Trojans earned 2 gold, 3 silver, 5 bronze medals, 2 fourth, 2 fifth and 4 sixth place.
Beloit placed first overall with a score of 87 followed by Phillipsburg, Chapman and Southeast of Saline all tieing for second place with 78 points; Minneapolis fifth at 57; Hoisington sixth at 44; Concordia seventh at 42; Riley County eighth at 38; Clay Center nine at 23; Abilene tenth at 17 and Russell eleventh at 2.
Beloit Trojan boys individual placings:
Gold medalists were Gunner Gray in the triple jump with a distance of 43’ 1”; Griffin Johnson in the shot put with a throw of 57’ 4.50.
Silver medals went to Brody Litton in the shot put with a throw of 55’ .50”; Griffin Johnson in the discus with a throw of 159’ 10”; Jacob Hand in the long jump at 20’ 10.50”.
Bronze medals went to Jacob Hand in the 100m dash with a time of 11.66; Henry Tice in the pole vault with a clearing of 13’; Gunner Gray in the long jump at 20’ 10.50”; John Lomax in the javelin at 173’ 6”; Brody Litton in the discus with a throw of 153’ 2”.
Placing fourth was Kross Kemmerer in the shot put at 52’ 2.75”; Declan Thompson in the discus at 148’ 7”.
Fifth place went to Jacob Hand in the 300m hurdles with a time of 42.99; John Lomax in the pole vault with a clearing of 12’.
A sixth place went to the 4x100m relay team of Parker Lund, Jacob Hand, Gunner Gray and Steele Pruitt with a time of 46.50.
On the girls side, they earned 6 gold, 7 silver, 3 bronze medals, 3 fourth, 4 fifth, and 4 sixth place.
Beloit girls places first overall with a score of 132 followed by Southeast of Saline in second with a score of or 83 and Clay Center in third at 58. Riley County placed fourth at 50; Hoisington fifth at 48; Ellsworth sixth at 45; Chapman seventh at 44; Concordia eight at 33; Russell ninth at 30; Minneapolis tenth at 14; Abilene eleventh at 11 and Phillipsburg twelfth at 10
Beloit girls individual placings:
Gold medalists were Dakota Gray in the 100m hurdles with a time of 14.87 and in the 300m hurdles in 47.56; Bently Pruitt in the pole vault with a clearing of 10’ and in the shot put at 39’ 8.75”; Brecken Boudreaux in the long jump at 17’ 11.25”; Samantha Thompson in the discus at 136’ 8”.
Silver medals went to Vivian Thompson in the high jump with a clearing of 5’ 4”; Autumn Lorenz in the long jump at 17’ and in the javelin with a throw of 144’ 6”; the 4x100m relay team of Autumn Lorenz, Dakota Gray, Bently Pruitt and Addyson Channell with a time of 50.87.
Bronze medals went to Addyson Channell in the 100m dash with a time of 12.64 and in the 200m dash in 26.57; Scarlett Ludwig in the triple jump at 33’ 2.50”.
Placing fourth were Bently Pruitt in the 100m dash in 12.83; Jayda Purvis in the pole vault with a clearing of 8’ 6”; Landry Litton in the shot put at 35’ 8”.
Fifth place went to Vivian Thompson in the 400m dash with a time of 1:02.38; the 4x800m relay team of Reese Richards, MacKenzy Goodaker, Whitley Gronewoller and Keira Rabe with a time of 11:07.13; Brecken LeSage in the triple jump at 32’ 11.50”; Samantha Thompson in the javelin with a throw of 115’.
Sixth place went to Reese Richards in the 1600m run with a time of 5:50.70; Scarlett Ludwig in the 100m hurdles in 17.06; Samantha Thompson in the shot put at 33’ 1”.
