SMITH CENTER – The Beloit Trojan track and field teams delivered impressive performances at the annual Smith Center Redman Relays on Tuesday, April 15. Competing against a field of 14 schools including Hill City, Marysville, Norton, Osborne, Thayer Central, and Phillipsburg, the Trojans showcased their depth and talent on both the track and in the field. The Beloit girls won overall as a team for the third time this season. Beloit boys placed fourth.
Head Coach Isbell praised the teams’ efforts.
“The teams performed very well in the field and on the track. There were several athletes that achieved personal records, and they all continue to improve every day. We will continue to shuffle around the events that some of the kids are in and try to find the best fit moving forward.”
The Trojans return to competition on Tuesday, April 22, at the Belleville Lions Club Invitational. Field events will begin at 10 a.m., followed by the 3200m run at 11 a.m. and running prelims at noon.
