Beloit Trojans compete at 102nd KU Relays

LAWRENCE — The Beloit Trojans made their mark at the 102nd annual Kansas Relays, held April 17–19 at Rock Chalk Park in Lawrence, with a string of impressive performances in throwing events.

Leading the charge was Tatum Seyfert, who dominated the girls’ shot put competition with a first-place throw of 45’3.75”. Seyfert wasn’t done there—she also earned bronze in the discus with a throw of 141’9”, capping off a stellar meet for the standout thrower.

Addie Budke showcased her versatility by competing in both javelin and shot put. She placed 19th in the javelin (105’6”) and secured an impressive third place in the shot put with a throw of 42’5.25”.

In the javelin, Autumn Lorenz earned 13th place with a solid effort of 113’4”, rounding out the girls’ contributions.

On the boys’ side, Eli Johnson emerged as a dual threat, placing second in discus with a toss of 187’0” and earning fifth place in the shot put (57’6.25”). Brooks Jones contributed a top-10 finish in the javelin, landing in 9th place with a mark of 177’10”.

Beloit also showed depth in the shot put. Brodie Boudreaux (11th – 52’1.25”), Brody Litton (21st – 48’1.25”), and Griffin Johnson all competed, helping round out a strong showing for the Trojans in the field.

With eight athletes competing against some of the best talent in the region, Beloit proved its strength and consistency, leaving Lawrence with a haul of medals and momentum heading into the heart of the season.
