BELLEVILLE – The Beloit High School baseball team competed against Republic County, in Belleville on April 28, and added a double header win to up their season to 9-4. They will now prepare to host Lyons on Friday, May 2, in Beloit.
Beloit won game one over Republic County in a shut out, 17-0 win and won another shutout win in game two, 16-0.
In game one, Beloit took the early 4-0 lead after the top of the first inning. They added one run in the second inning and collected eight big runs in the third inning for the 13-0 lead. They added one run in the fourth inning and three in the fifth inning for the 17-0 win. Beloit totaled 17R, 10H, 1E to the Buffaloes 1H, 5E.
