Nine Beloit High School Band Students traveled to Manhattan, Kansas to participate in the Kansas State University Concert Band Clinic Jan. 24-26, 2024.
Upon arrival to the campus, the students auditioned for placement in one of six bands. The ensembles included one honor band and five evenly distributed bands for balanced instrumentation.
Friday evening included a concert performed for the 700+ students by the world-renowned Boston Brass. The evening concluded with an evening rehearsal and a visit to the Varsity Doughnut truck.
Saturday included rehearsals, director's sessions, master classes by the KSU faculty, a concert performed by the KSU Wind Ensemble and the Boston Brass and more rehearsals.
Dress rehearsals occurred Sunday morning and the mass concert began at 1 p.m.
