Jane Anderson, 71, Georgetown, SC

Posted

GEORGETOWN, SC – Jane Leann Anderson, age 71, of Georgetown, South Carolina, passed peacefully to her eternal home on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at home with her family.

Jane was born on February 13, 1953, in Beloit, Kansas. She is the daughter of Keith Wesley and Mildred Louise Abram Nelson. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband's parents, John Manning and Hilda Harwell Anderson, and a grandson, Alexander Haiden Anderson.

Jane had a kind, gentle spirit. She was accepting, gracious, charitable, fun, ornery, and beautiful. She loved to laugh and to make others laugh. Jane inherited her love of storytelling from her dad. She remembered stories as well as he did. Jane was a devoted and loving wife and mother. Her children were her pride and joy, and she instilled in them a deep sense of right and wrong. Jane gave love freely to those she met. She was a giver, sometimes to a fault. Jane was also an accomplished cook. She loved recipes but always added her twist during preparation. She could eat at a restaurant, evaluate the contents, and go home and replicate almost any dish.

Jane had a daycare in her home for several years. She loved the children she cared for like her own and she has stayed in contact with many of “her” kids as well as their parents. Jane had a career of more than thirty years with Estee Lauder and Lancome with Belk stores, serving as counter manager. She enjoyed a faithful clientele who became friends that returned repeatedly for makeovers and advice for product use.

Jane is survived by her husband, John Terry Anderson of the home, son John Keith Anderson and wife Ashley of Georgetown, SC, daughter Carol Leann Hall of Georgetown, SC., three grandchildren John Nathaniel Brice Anderson, Nicholas Wyatt Anderson, and Leanna Rose Hall, three sisters, Mary Maxwell and husband Tom of Beloit, Kansas, Nancy Gronewoller and husband Frank of Beloit, Kansas, Barbara Hartness and husband Mark of Augusta, Kansas, sister-in-law Kathy Baxley and husband Bob of Georgetown, SC, and their pet Tobey.

“She didn’t have all the answers.

She didn't always know how things were going to go…

But what she did have was faith in God.

And that was enough to carry her through

All the ups and downs of life because

She knew with Him, she would

Always be okay.”
