SALINA - U.S. Senator Roger Marshall, M.D. (R-Kansas) today released the following statement on the $210,000 Economic Development Administration technical assistance planning grant awarded to the North Central Regional Planning Commission (NCRPC) in Beloit.
“NCRP provides invaluable planning and technical assistance to its member communities,” said Sen. Marshall. “For small, rural communities, planning assistance is essential to helping the communities position themselves for future funding opportunities and financially responsible infrastructure investments.”
North Central Regional Planning Commission serves 12 counties in North Central Kansas through centralized planning and technical assistance. The organization works in partnership with multiple federal agencies including EDA, USDA and U.S. Department of Transportation to implement grants and technical assistance.
The award was part of $21 million in partnership planning grants to entities to support local organizations with short and long-term planning efforts.
