KANSAS – Pawnee Mental Health is pleased to announce the promotion of Jesse Scoggan to Youth Community Services Supervisor for the organization’s western region, encompassing Cloud, Mitchell, Jewell, Republic, and Washington counties. Formerly a youth case manager with Pawnee, Scoggan will now lead this region’s Youth Community Services Team, supporting young people facing mental health challenges and promoting community-based outreach initiatives.
With over a decade of experience in mental health and nearly 10 years as a case manager and Case Management Director at Hope City in Kansas City, Missouri, Scoggan joined Pawnee to bring his expertise and leadership to support Kansas communities. His experience as a youth case manager at Pawnee has given him valuable insight into young clients’ unique mental health needs. His direct communication skills and team-centered leadership make him well-equipped to oversee the Youth Community Services Team.
As a disabled United States Marine Corps veteran, Scoggan is personally committed to helping others navigate mental health challenges. His own experiences with mental health in his personal life and among friends and family give him a unique, empathetic perspective that he brings to his role each day. Scoggan actively helps youth in the community find their voice and equips them with the support and tools they need for a hopeful future.
Scoggan’s passion for serving others is deeply rooted in his father’s legacy, whose outreach work in impoverished communities shaped his perspective on life. Growing up in a large, close-knit family, he learned the value of compassion and community early. His father’s dedication to helping underserved populations in Richmond, California, instilled in him a commitment to making a difference. Carrying forward that mission, Scoggan has devoted his career to supporting those in need. Now living in Beloit, Kansas, with his wife, Kara, and their three children, he prioritizes family and community. He embraces an active life exploring local trails and caring for their many pets, including dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, lambs, and turkeys.
“We’re thrilled to see Jesse step into this new role,” said Shelli Schottler, Community Services Director at Pawnee Mental Health. “Jesse’s commitment to serving the mental health needs of youth in our community and his dedicated leadership make him an incredible asset to our team and the Western region.”
