SCOTTSVILLE – The Scottsville Community Church was host to their Christmas Program on Dec. 8, 2024, with a special event that has been presented for over 50 years. Parents and also grandparents that sat in the crowd watched on, remembering when they too were performing for the church, such as Brad Smith who moved to Scottsville when he was just five years old. Kristy Adams, formerly Kristy Stilwell, directed the program in which she was a part of as a child, just as did Brian and Dave Stillwell.
The town of Scottsville, Kansas in Mitchell County has a small-town feel while still having access to the amenities of larger cities. As of the 2024 census, it had a population of 25.
