Smith earns 1,000 career points

JEWELL – Karlene “Karlie” Smith, a junior from Jewell, Ks, has recently surpassed the 1,000 point mark for her high school career.

Karlie is a member of the Smoky Valley Home Educators (SVHE) Eagles basketball team, based in Salina, and supported with athletes from the surrounding areas. Home games are played at the Salina Field House, while away games include teams from Newton, Wichita, Reno County, Topeka, Colby, Manhattan, as well as tournaments in Wichita, Lincoln and Hastings, Neb. – featuring teams from Iowa, Missouri, and Nebraska.

SVHE has participated in public school tournaments as well.
