SMITH CENTER – The St. John’s track teams competed in the Smith Center Redman Relays on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, in Smith Center. The girls placed 10th overall as a team and the boys placed fifth overall. St. John’s will now travel to compete in Osborne on April 25.
St. John’s Lady Jays earned 1 silver and one bronze medal and three sixth place
A silver medal went to Lynelle Gengler in the 800m run with a time of 2:34.10.
A bronze medal went to Christiana Niewald in the 3200m run in 12:52.63.
Placing sixth were Kendra Gengler in the 100m hurdles with a time of 17.80; the 4x100m freshmen relay team with a time of 1:06.63; Kendra Gengler in the triple jump with a distance of 30’ 9”.
St. John’s Blujay boys earned one gold, one silver, two bronze medals, and four fourth, two fifth, and five sixth place.
A gold medal went to Edward Horinek in the triple jump with a distance of 42’ 10.5”.
A silver medal went to Tyson Gates in the 100m hurdles with a time of 16.27.
Bronze medals went to the 4x400m relay team with a time of 3:41.05; Gabriel Roderick in the high jump with a clearing of 5’ 8”.
Placing fourth were Gabriel Roderick in the 3200m run with a time of 11:16.74; Tyson Gates in the 300m hurdles in 44.48; the 4x100m relay team in 46.41; the 4x800m relay team in 9:14.61.
Fifth place went to Edward Horinek in the 200m dash with a time of 24.54; Jeremiah Roderick in the 3200m run in 11:26.20.
Sixth place went to Cadyn Brummer in the 100m dash with a time of 12.19 and in the 200m dash in 24.81; Henry Holdren in the 800m run with a time of 2:12.11; Jonas Letourneau in the 3200m run in 11:28.70; the 4x100m throwers relay team with a time of 55.15.
