Gengler serves third term on city council

Tony Gengler is serving his third term as a councilor for the City of Beloit. Elected nine years ago, he has won three contested elections since that time. He feels good about winning contested elections saying, “ People should have a choice about who is on the council. In unopposed elections something seems missing. I feel good that when I won an election, the folks had a choice between me and somebody else.”

MCHHS Holiday late night shopping event

The Mitchell County Hospital (MCH) Ladies Auxiliary and Mitchell County Hospital Health Systems (MCHHS) staff appreciate the community for participating in their holiday late night shopping event on Dec. 5 at the MCHHS Gift Store, located inside the hospital. “ This opportunity was a fun way to connect with the community, and we enjoyed seeing all who were able to attend.” Drawing winners from the night included Julie Olson, Raelynn Caito, Denise Berndt and Nathalie Wessling. The MCHHS Gift Store is a great place to find holiday gifts, including MCHHS logo’ d Trojan, Blujays, KU and K-State apparel, Hey June earrings, make-up and other adorable gifts for all ages. The MCH Ladies Auxiliary plays an important role in providing for the needs of the patients at Mitchell County Hospital Health Systems. The funds raised throughout the year from the MCHHS Gift Store, the Economy Shop and memorial donations are allocated for various new and recurring projects in the hospital. Eck recognized at ESOP meeting

OSBORNE - Osborne Industries, Inc., recently recognized Matt Eck at the company’s annual Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) meeting on Nov. 8, 2023, for demonstrating his commitment to two of the company’s values.
