Noral Ray Preeo, 70, Emporia

EMPORIA – Noral Ray Preeo, 70, died Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Holiday Resort in Emporia.

The funeral is planned for 10:00 a.m., Thursday at Charter Funerals. The Rev. Rick Grossenbacher of Calvary Baptist Church will officiate, accompanied by Wade Smith of Cornerstone Baptist Church. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery in Toledo, Kansas.

Visitation is scheduled from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Noral was born January 9, 1951, in Beloit, KS, the son of Virgil Henry and Laurena Amelia (Nye) Preeo. He married Susan K. Wagner on February 6, 1971 in Mankato Kansas. On September 28th 1971 Shane was born, in May 1972 the family moved to Emporia to start a new journey in life. On August 19th 1973 their second son, Jason was born, September 11th 1978 Cody, their third child was born.

When the family moved to Emporia Noral worked for IBP for a short period of time before going back to turning wrenches (Automotive Technician) inwhich he did for 40+ years before retiring. Noral had lots of hobbies such as gardening, traveling, football along with his favorite sport, fishing. He was fun loving, supportive and would do anything for his three boys and grandchildren, even put them in their place from time to time but that’s what has made them who they are today.

Noral is proceeded in death by his wife Susan Kay, mother and father, brother, and 1-grandchild. He is survived by three sons, Shane and wife Luretta of Hartford, KS, Jason and wife Dawn of Warsaw, MO, and Cody and wife Jerrica of Emporia, KS; nine grandchildren; six greatgrandchildren; and sister, Veann Liby of Hutchinson, KS.

Memorial contributions may be made to Charter Funerals for the family to adopt children from the angel tree this winter.
