Chelsi Damali

Formerly of GLASCO – Chelsi Lorene Darnall (34), a proud veteran of the United States Army, passed away at her home in Salina, Ks. on Saturday, August 19, 2023. She is the daughter of Kelli Darnall and the late Todd Darnall and grew up in Glasco, Ks.

Chelsi was born on March 13, 1989 in Beloit, Ks. Chelsi was educated in the Glasco Public School System and graduated from Glasco High School in 2007. At the age of 19, Chelsi enlisted in the United States Army stationed at Fort Bragg, NC. She valued this service highly and attained the Rank of Private First Class serving as a Unit Supply Specialist earning the National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and the Army Service Ribbon.

Following her Honorable discharge from the Army in 2011, it was Chelsi’s drive and determination to be a good mother to her children Alli (2009), Landon (2011), and Lennox (2020).Left behind to cherish Chelsi’s memory are loving children, Alli Darnall, Landon Henry, and Lennox Darnall. Siblings: Daniel (Jillian) Darnall Glasco, Eric (Lisa) Darnall Glasco, Kelsey Panter Springtown Tx., Laura (Cole) Clarkson Minneapolis, Scott Smith Beloit, Colton Tatro (Regan) Moody Tx., Jordan Tatro (Hunter) Moody Tx. Chelsi is preceded in death by her father Todd Darnall, her beloved Grandmother LaVerna (Liby) Higle, and Grandfathers Paul Higle and Clark Darnall as well as many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Friends too numerous to mention.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 24. with a service honoring the life of Chelsi Lorene Darnall at the Glasco Veterans Foreign War Memorial Post 7697, 601 N. Railroad Ave., Glasco, Kansas with burial to follow at Glasco Cemetery, 550 Clay Road, Glasco. Please join the family, back at the V.F.W. following the burial for a luncheon. Sandwiches, Drinks and table service will be provided. Please bring a side dish, salad or dessert if you would like, In leu of flowers, memorials have been suggested to: Chelsi Darnall Childrens Fund c/o Guarantee State Bank Beloit.
