Larry Snedden, 77, Tuscon, Arizona

TUSCON, ARIZ. – On Aug. 26, 1944 Larry Snedden was born to Evelyn and JD “ Snap” Snedden at the Community Hospital of Beloit, Kansas. He left this earthly life on July 1, 2022 at the Tuscon VA Hospital in Tuscon, Arizona.

Larry joined the US Army just 10 days before turning 17. He served in Vietnam as a helicopter mechanic. He was honorably discharged in 1966 and joined his brother Frank in Longview, Washington where he went to work at Longview Fibre Co. Larry worked at the mill for 22 years before he moved on to other jobs designing pumps. In retirement Larry moved to Tucson, Arizona with his wife Terri, of almost 30 years. He enjoyed the activities in their over 55 community. He participated in many car shows and won awards for the various vehicles he had restored. He also enjoyed traveling. The couple recently had enjoyed a trip to Beloit KS, to see family and friends during his 60th class reunion. He especially enjoyed returning to the Northwest to see their family and the many friends.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Frank. He is survived by his wife Terri, daughter Linda Schulz, son Cory Snedden, stepchildren Will Smith and Jessica Anderson, his sister Nancy Heiman, brother JD Snedden, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

A celebration of life and inurnment will be held at Longview Memorial in Longview Washington.
