Mildred “Millie” Rush, 88, Pratt

PRATT – Mildred 'Millie' Rush, 88, passed away Friday, April 14, 2023 at Pratt Health and Rehab. She was born on May 27, 1934 in Beloit to Ovid Alvin and Mable Marie (Lawson) Gray. Mildred married Marvin D. Rush and he passed away on March 12, 2000. She then married Virgil Rush on December 20, 2003 in Greensburg. He survives.

Millie graduated from Beloit High School in 1953. She worked as a secretary at many places. She was a member of Greensburg Christian Church, Sweet Adelines, Red Hat Society and a few other clubs, and former President of VFW. She currently attended the Pratt Friends Church. She also volunteered at Pratt Regional Medical Center. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, gardening, walking, spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Virgil; her son, Richard Lee (Gayla) Rush of Mulvane; sisters, Shirley Hayden of Beloit; Virginia McIntire of Corona, California, Janice Dameron of Beloit and Mary Gray of Beloit; stepchildren, Pam (Rex) Rockhill of Lady Lake, Florida, Ronnie (Barbara) Rush of Wichita, Linda (Paul Holman) Roberts of Liberal and Brenda (Rick) Stegman of Liberal; and many stepgrandchildren.

Millie is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marvin Rush; sisters, Doris Cataldi, Ruthann Pritchett, and Nancy Foulke; and brother, Gerald Gray.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 18, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at Pratt Friends Church, Pratt with Pastor Mike Niefert presiding. A Graveside Service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at Elmwood Cemetery, Beloit.
