BELOIT - Paul Marion Matter, 78, passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2022, in Beloit, Kansas. Paul was born in Beloit on November 20th, 1943, to Marion and Letha (Dyas) Matter of Jewell, KS. Paul attended the Jewell schools and graduated from Jewell High School in 1961. He went on to Fort Hays State University where he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture in 1966. While he was in college Paul joined the Army National Guard, which he served in for 6 years. During his service he attended Officers Training School where he was promoted to the rank of 1st Lieutenant.
