FIRST EVER BELOIT MILLAPALOOZA A SUCCESS

BELOIT – The rains held out, the temperatures were great and with every new event, an added group of people showed up for the first ever Millapalooza event held in downtown Beloit on Saturday. From a bike race, poker run, 86 registered Mitcarllshow,ty chalk art challenge, art and wine walk and a street dance, there was always something going on for everyone to enjoy.

A kids pit stop was full of fun activities throughout the day and the paint a truck event and bounce house were popular spots for the children to hang out at.

Emergency acksmith and corn shelling demonstrations held the crowd captive and numerous food vendors and a flea market booths gave everyone options on shopping opportunities.

The Millapalooza board members of Chamber of Commerce Directer Julia Rabe, Chad Lorenz, Mandy Fincham, Gretchin Staples, Andrea LePon, Jesse Benedick, Jessalee Kelley, Catrina Wilson, Kyle Peterson and Lacy Wichers meshed events together for a community event that they hope to continue each year in Beloit.

“We had so many people come alongside us as we planned events and we could never say thank you enough to the community for believing in this event, supporting it, coming out for the day of fun and making the first ever Millapalooza a huge success,” said Rabe.
