Congratulations to Jacee Cantrell Tice, who was awarded the JAG-K Outstanding New Specialist of the Year. She also received the JAG-K Regional Rising Star Award, and her program at Beloit Jr/Sr High School was recognized by Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG) with the “5 of 5” Award.

BELOIT – The Beloit Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce a new partnership with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas (BCBSKS) and Chamber of Commerce Executives of Kansas (CCEKS). This partnership stitches together 40 other local Chambers of Commerce across Kansas to offer an Association Health Plan called Chamber Blue of Kansas.
The first mural in Beloit is complete through Mitchell County Strong, at the Mitchell County Historical Society Museum after Greg Holdren braved the heat with some helping hands, with Fred Smith and his granddaughter. Donations are still being accepted for the mural projects.
The little, now long-gone, town of Mayview, Kansas was getting “ a new store” and the “ population was increasing” in March of 1881 (24 March 1881 Jewell County Review and the 11 March 1881 Jewell County Record) In fact, 1881 might seem a watershed year for the little community.
