BELOIT – A Hazardous Weather Outlook has been issued for Phillips, Smith, Jewell, Rooks, Osborne and Mitchell counties in north central Kansas and portions of south central Nebraska for Monday through Saturday.
Last month, I peacefully stood on the sidewalks of a busy, four-lane road in Lincoln, Nebraska, and silently prayed at the Planned Parenthood abortion clinic, alongside fellow St. John’s students. We were there for two hours. For a portion of that time, I watched as people drove by, going about their daily lives. Many of them pretended they didn't see us or that they were distracted. Some of them honked their horns in approval and smiled and waved at us. A few of them shook their heads or gestured signs of disapproval. But the reactions of those driving by isn’t what we were standing there for.
The Beloit City Council conducted its first meeting of 2024 at City Hall on Wednesday, Jan. 3.
