WICHITA – The Beloit High School JAG-K (Jobs for America’ s Graduates - Kansas) officers attended the annual Leadership Development Conference held at Wichita State University on Oct. 11, 2023. Alyssa Hajny, President and Region 1 officer, Tamma Lawson, VP Community Service, Maddie Black, VP Social Activities, and Allison Leiva, Secretary, were hand selected, along with other JAG-K officers around the state to attend this event. There, they got to network with other students leaders and get educated on how to be a leader, along with bringing back important information to their our program at Beloit High School.
BELOIT – Acting City Administrator Mandi Lomax reported during Wednesday’ s Beloit City Council meeting that there was nothing to report on the progress of he Water Treatment Plant/Water Line project. She also told the Council that the Solar Farm had another good month of electricity generation.
