Numerous supporters, both locally and around the state, have been praying for 16 year old Kyler Burks, after his vehicle rollover accident which caused severe injuries on Thursday, June 9, 2022.
MANKATO – The June meeting of the Desire Tobey Sears Chapter, NSDAR was called to order by Vice-Regent Sherry Koster, Jewell, the evening of Tuesday, June 14, at the Buffalo Roam Steakhouse, Mankato, Kansas. Members recited the Pledge of Allegiance and The American’s Creed.
The Beloit Solar Farm, is now complete and will be open for public viewing from 12-5 p.m. on Thursday, June 30, at 726 Brooklyn Av. in Beloit, with a ribbon cutting to take place by the Beloit Area Chamber of Commerce. Facility tours and video overviews of the project will be available from 12-4 p.m with refreshments under the tent starting at 2 p.m. and the ribbon cutting ceremony will take place from 4-5 p.m. This is a come and go event with food and refreshments available. The City of Beloit Council approved the project last spring of 2021, due to a supply chain issue the project commenced construction in February of this year. This project is said to become more vital to shave power price peaks as the price curve shifts to later in the day as more solar comes on line across the country.
