KANSAS – The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for areas of Phillips, Smith, Jewell, Rooks, Osborne and Mitchell counties and portions of south central Nebraska as near critical fire weather conditions are forecast for Monday through Sunday.
St John’ s Schools delivered three pickup loads of food to the Mitchell County Food Pantry on Friday, Feb. 4. Students delivering the food were Xander Heidrick, Caleb Winkel, Taylor Kibbe, Jeremy Hicks, Jaret Eitzmann, Joseph Knappert, Ben Thompson, Gemma Clarke, Maria Mick, and Logan Brummer. The students were accompanied by Andrew Niewald and Zeb Clarke. Kathy Roberts gave the students a tour of the pantry and explained how things are stored and Janice Bryan gave them the statistics of how many we served last year and an estimated value of the groceries that were distributed last year. “ We are very grateful for the contributions and the the support that the schools and staff give to us. St John’ s students also wrapped and helped by delivering the Angel Tree boxes at Christmas time.”
King Cameron Sadler and Queen Sydnie Conn were named as the 2022 Beloit High School Winter Homecoming Royalty on Friday in between the Trojan boys and girls games against Ellsworth.
