BELOIT — Mitchell County Regional Medical Foundation’s (MCRMF) annual Supporting Hometown Healthcare Campaign launched in February 2021 and completed its annual drive in March raising over $52,000. Even though the past year has brought new levels of stress and financial insecurity, MCRMF appreciates the community support to prioritize and sustain our rural healthcare system.
BELOIT – The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for Phillips, Smith, Jewell, Rooks, Osborne and Mitchell counties in north central Kansas and portions of south central Nebraska.

BELOIT – A special USD #273 School Board meeting was held at noon on Wednesday April 7, 2021 with the board taking action on a 6-0 vote to rescind the mandatory wearing of face masks in the Beloit School system buildings. This action was necessary for USD 273 to remain in compliance with Senate Bill 40 which mandated several changes.
Meadowlarks are basking in the sun singing one minute and taking cover from cold weather the next as springtime is in question. After 80 plus degrees last week, cooler temperatures are in the forecast next week with temperatures in the upper 50’s during the day with night time 30’s. High winds will return for today (Friday) with wind gusts as high as 30 mph and a 40 percent chance of rain possible. Another 30 percent chance extends into Saturday with sunny skies on Sunday.
