BELOIT – Western Governors University (WGU) has issued a call for K-12 teachers across Kansas, Missouri and Illinois to nominate their innovative classroom projects by April 18 for the opportunity to receive full or partial funding.
Frank Shelton, Norma Fiehler and Gregg Snyder were three of seven Solomon Valley Transportation (SVT) employees shown, who were recently recognized for their 5-Years of Service. All seven employees including: Sharon Bean; John Cashatt; Norma Fiehler (Jewell County); Harold Heidrick; Donald Howland(Osborne County); Frank Shelton, and Gregg Snyder were awarded for their dedicated service and commitment to the organization. “The successful growth of SVT is a direct result of our valued employees. Their loyalty and dependability does not go unnoticed and is greatly appreciated.”
SALINA – The Salina Area United Way (SAUW) announces the 2021 Make A Difference Grant funding process. We are excited to announce we will be awarding $140,000 in Make A Difference Grants this year. The purpose of the Make A Difference grant is to be responsive to community needs. Consideration will be given to programs which make a difference in our communities. The Salina Area United Way fights for the health, education and financial stability of every person in every community.
