St. John’ s/Tipton girls over Thunder Ridge

The St. John’s/Tipton girls traveled to Kensington Tuesday to take on NPL rival Thunder Ridge to take on what looked like on paper an evenly matched team. Both teams had 8 wins on the season and both have the potential to have explosive output on their home courts. Thunder Ridge had the advantage of a home game but the Lady Jays have the confidence after defeating them 59-13 in the NPL tournament less than two weeks ago. St. John’s/Tipton pulled this game off much like the first, in a blowout fashion. With four players scoring in the doubledigits, they defeated the Lady Longhorns 61-28. Up next is an away game at Wilson on Friday at 6 pm. Wilson is 2-8 so far on the season.

Beloit boys dominate Republic County

The Beloit Trojans defeated the Republic County Buffaloes, 57-33, on Tuesday night in Belleville, to improve to 10-5 overall and 4-2 in the league.

Beloit Lady Trojans defeat Republic County

The Beloit Lady Trojans defeated the Republic County Lady Buffaloes, 51-40, on Tuesday night in Belleville, to improve to 8-7 overall and 5-1 in the NCAA.

St. John’ s/Tipton boys over Tescott 69-2

The Blujay boys traveled to Tipton to host Tescott Friday for Tipton’ s Homecoming game. The Blujays looked to start another win streak. Tescott came to the contest with a 2-12 record, St. John’ s/Tipton had a 6-5 overall record, only 1 loss within the NPL. The Blujays started the game in overdrive hitting 24 points in the first quarter on their way to a 69-26 victory over the Trojans. The Blujays had 3 players scoring in double-digits and 11 total players in the scoring column.

St. John’ s/Tipton girls cruise to 53-30 Tescott victory

The St. John’ s/Tipton Girls hosted the Tescott Trojans on Friday at the Tipton Community Center. Tescott entered the game with a 3-8 record while St. John’ s/Tipton had a 7-4 record. The Lady Jays were able to easily handle the Lady Trojans with both the starters and bench players alike. They cruised to a 53-30 victory which leaves them a matchup against the remaining part of their regular season schedule against Thunder Ridge followed by Chase next Friday.
