PHILLIPSBURG – Afte winning the Riley County dual last Thursday, 63-12, with only two lost matches, the Beloit Trojan wrestlers competed in the Phillipsburg tournament on Feb. 5 and placed wrestlers.
BELOIT – The Beloit Lady Trojans defeated the Ellsworth Lady Bearcats, 52-38, Friday night, to improve to 9-7 overall and 6-1 in the league.
BELOIT – The Beloit Trojans defeated the Ellsworth Bearcats, 79-57, Friday night, to improve to 11-5 overall and 5-2 in the NCAA.
The St. John’ s-Tipton Middle School Girls completed their 2021-2022 season as the Pike Trail League Runners-Up, losing to #1 seed Osborne in the tournament’ s championship game this last Saturday. Overall the Jr. Lady Jays finished the 12-3. Lynelle Gengler lead the Jr. Jays in scoring at just over 15 points a game. Fellow 8th graders Ava Wiles, Logann Arnoldy, Cheyanne Knoll all had significant contributions to the team while Emma DiNuzzo, Ava Brummer, Kendra Gengler and Christiana Niewald each added 2-4 points per game.
