Beloit JV wrestlers compete in Chapman tournament

The Beloit Lady Trojans lost to the Southeast of Saline Lady Trojans, 59-51, Tuesday night, to fall to 9-8 overall and 6-2 in the NCAA. Beloit is scheduled to travel to Salina on Tuesday, Feb. 15, to play Sacred Heart. The Lady Knights are 7-8 overall and 2-5 in the league, with games against Council Grove and St. John's-Tipton coming up on Friday and Monday.
The Beloit Trojans lost to the Southeast of Saline Trojans, 58-41, Tuesday night, to fall to 11-6 overall and 5-3 in the league.
GYPSUM – The Beloit High School Wrestling team competed in the NCAA League wrestling tournament on Thursday, Feb. 10 and placed third overall as a team. Tate Kadel won a league championship title in the 170 weight division as did Brennan Walker in the 195 division and Wes Adolph in the 220 division. Placing second for Beloit was Coe Neilson in the 106 division; Conner Cosand in the 126 division and Raiden Gilley in the 145 division. Caden Anderson placed third in the 152 division.
The St. John’ s/Tipton Blujay boys traveled to Wilson to take on the 3-13 Dragons, a NPL opponent. The Blujays brought in a 7-6 record, 3-2 in the NPL. St. John’ s/Tipton was able to easily handle the Dragons and provide some needed rest for the starters and game experience for the bench players as they grow close to the end of the season grind. With 11 players scoring points and 10 getting rebounds, the Blujays were able to spread the ball around evenly and get everyone some action. The Blujays finished with a 65-20 victory and prepare for a tough Lakeside team.
