HUTCHINSON – Beloit senior, Bryce Beisner, and junior, Eli Johnson, earned the All-Tournament team honors for the Trojans after the Class 3A State boys basketball championships.
BELOIT – Three St. John’s/Tipton Lady Jays earned Northern Plains League (NPL) All- League honors.
The number six seed St. John’s/Tipton Lady Jays (165) opened up the State competition facing number three seed Sharon Springs-Wallace County Wildcats (20-3) on Thursday night, March 7, 2024, and fell short to the Wildcats, 58-44, to end their season at 16-6. Wallace County lost to Lebo in the semi-finals, 47-36, to end their season at 22-2. Hanover (23-4) won the State championship title with a win over Lebo (23-2), 50-35.
The Beloit Trojans defeated the Southeast of Saline Trojans, 51-37, on Saturday to finish third at the Class 3A state tournament.
