Area students awarded Harbaugh Scholarships

MITCHELL COUNTY – The USD 273 Endowment Association announced 30 Harbaugh Scholarships have been awarded to Mitchell County students for the 2021-2022 school term. They were awarded to students enrolled in a one or two-year institution, to those just entering a four-year institution as a freshman, and to students beyond the freshman year presently attending a four-year institution and who have not obtained their Bachelor degree or its equivalent.

Chestnut to entertain at TPC event

BELOIT – On Tuesday, July 27, Savanna Chestnut will entertain at the Down Under from 6-8 p.m. while she plays her heart out for a bunch of dogs and cats that rely on The Pet Connection (TPC) for care.

Bid contracts of $16,500 go to C4 Construction

Contracts were awarded during during Wednesday's Beloit City Council meeting, to C4 Construction for the demolishing of structures at 214 North Mill and 414 North Mill in the amount of $16,500.
