St. John’ s/Tipton Lady Jays fall to Central Plains

The St. John’s/Tipton Lady Jays faced off against the defending 1A Division II state champions Thursday evening in Russell in the second round of the Amos Morris Classic tournament. The Lady Jays made the semifinals with an impressive victory over host team Russell and looked to give Central Plains a tough game. Central Plains proved to be up to the challenge and were able to control the pace of the game and cruise to a 62-33 victory.

Mudd Wrestle Showdown!

The Beloit Wrestling Club have started their season as Tessa, Jaxtyn, and Jaytyn Mudd all placed third in the Showdown on the Ninnescah” on Saturday, Dec. 3.

St. John’ s/Tipton Lady Jays open with Natoma win

The St. John’ s/Tipton Girls opened the season by hosting Natoma at the Tipton gymnasium. This league matchup features a Natoma team that was very young last year, finishing the season with a 4-16 record. This year half their team is freshman and sophomores, with three seniors. The Lady Jays lost some clutch senior players last season but are primed to make another run at a Northern Plains League title. The Lady Jays were able to set the pace and cruise to a 60-33 victory.

St. John’ s/Tipton boys win over Plainville

St. John’s/Tipton faced Plainville in the second game of the Amos Morris Classic in Russell, as the Blujays came away victorious, 67-43, to improve their record to 2-1 on the season.
