BELOIT – The AGCO Beloit team recently congratulated Doug Monty on his retirement, after working with the team for 49 years, 2 months, and 22 days. The team celebrated this accomplishment on April 29 with Doug, his wife Dee, and his family.
BELOIT – The Summer Kids Cafe are excited to kick off the ninth year of Summer Kids Cafe. They will serve lunch to children ages 0-18 at Luther Park at the corner of 7th and Bell every week day this summer from May 18- Aug. 17. The activities begin daily at 11:30, food is served from 12:00-12:30, and they wrap up at 1 p.m. The following holidays they will be closed: Memorial Day (May 30) and July 4 and take out meals will not be provided this year.
BELOIT – The Beloit Area Prayer Breakfast will take place at 6:30 a.m. for breakfast and at 7 a.m. guest speaker DJ Fulhage will give a presentation at the First Christian Church in Beloit.
After 31 years ago and being struck by an F-5 tornado on April 26, 1991, the city of Andover ranging around 15,000 people, 14 miles east of Wichita, Kansas, suffered yet another blow when a tornado struck again on Friday, April 29, 2022.
BELOIT – Jean Severance Ney is really looking forward to Monday’ night’s Beloit High School Band concert. One of the band’s selections will be “Joy,” a piece that was commissioned in her honor in 2020.
